BIRDLAND FIELD - DES MOINES

Birdland Park is on the North side of Des Moines, directly across the street from North High School. The baseball field is visible from 2nd avenue, and is in between 2nd avenue and 6th avenue. Birdland Pool and Birdland tennis courts are directly next to the field.

If you are coming from I-235, you can get off on either the 2nd or 6th ave. exits and head North. If you are coming down 2nd, the field will be just on your left after you cross the river bridge, on the right if you are coming down 6th. Either way you will need to then turn onto Holcomb Ave. to access the field.

Parking is restricted to the cement pool parking lot once the pool opens for the season. The police will issue tickets if you park in the gravel area or on the grass.
